Accurate, Cost-Effective Payroll Solutions

A paycheck starts with gross wages, then subtracts taxes and deductions and adds any reimbursements. Deductions include items such as health insurance premiums and retirement contributions. Reimbursements cover work expenses such as mileage or uniforms. Some of these items are taxable and some are not, which makes payroll tricky for anyone unfamiliar with the tax code. Rest assured, our payroll team knows the difference. Every paycheck is accurate, and every payroll tax return matches your books.

07
A Payroll Manager You Can Count On

When we manage your payroll, we account for every detail, from commissions, overtime, and bonuses to retirement plans and raises. We also track:

  • Health insurance and benefit contributions
  • Florida minimum wage increases each September 30
  • Federal and state tax changes
  • Paid time off policies
  • Family and medical leave
  • Reemployment (unemployment) tax rates

What payroll taxes do Florida employers pay?

Florida has no state income tax, so there is no state withholding. Employers handle federal income tax withholding, Social Security and Medicare, federal unemployment tax (FUTA), and Florida reemployment tax.

Most employers deposit federal payroll taxes monthly or semiweekly, depending on the size of past deposits. Florida reemployment tax reports are filed quarterly.

Forms W-2 and 1099-NEC are generally due to workers and to the government by January 31.

It depends on how much control you have over the work and the relationship. Misclassification can lead to back taxes and penalties, so we review each case.
